I found this guy hanging out near my work in Santa Rosa, California. I've never seen one like this. It seems to have really thick front legs. Anyone know what it might be? It's about 1/2"

is it a mm crab spider?

Yep, looks like a crab spider, an adult male at that. Maybe Misumena sp? Just a guess, looks similar - http://www.dereila.ca/whispers/spiders.html

Thanks. I think it is a crab spider. He's not the prettiest spider but he's kinda cool lookin {D

I may be wrong, but I don't think this is Misumena spp. According to this website http://bugguide.net/node/view/6749 Misumena's eyes are all the same size. This guy has two big eyes and is hairy. I would go with Misumenops. However, I am just starting to learn my spiders so I may be completely wrong. Maybe someone else with more experience can help out.
