Unidentified MM Haplopelma. Sold as "Haplopelma species 4" (dark with skeleton markings)" came as part of a package deal, bought the package for the other things but might as well try and ID this guy in case anyone is looking for a MM of whatever species he happens to be.

Probably I think he won't be able to be ID'd to an exact species and the poor guy will just live out his days in solitude. But I feel bad for him and wanted to do all that I can before giving up. :)

I'd say there's a possibilty he's albostriatum. MM Haplopelma can look really weird sometimes, at least to me.

I have a friend with an unidentified "Haplopelma sp." female that is marked exactly like that one.

Yes but a MM's markings are not going to help you pick out the matching female.

If you happened to save one of the exuviums I'm sure you could contact an expert on here and send it off for possible ID.

That would be ideal, but I got it as a MM already so can't really do that. :(

Yeah, unfortunately you may be screwed then. What you could try is taking close-up dorsal and ventral pictures of legs 1 and 4. Oftentimes scopulation and setae placement patterns on the legs can help with Haplopelma sp. verification.

It looks like only a portion of the metatarsi are scopulated. I have no idea what that means in terms of a sp. classification, but I think it may be significant.

Could be any of the Haplopelma species in the minax-group, (H. albostriatum, H. longipes, H. lividum and H. vonwirthi) except minax funny enough ;-). Adult males in this group looks identical and you will need to check the keels on the embolus together with the relative leg lenghts to identify him for sure.
