i was at the store the other day when i saw a nice looking tank decoration, an arch made to resemble a rock formation, like the kind you'd see in a desert. so i had the idea to completely redesign my 6-inch adult female P. cancerides' 10-gallon tank. so, after a few minutes of wrestling her into a small kritter keeper (for transfering purposes, of course), i began working. many paper towels and hand washings later, i managed to complete the tank. however, the substrate (a mix of excavator clay and bed-a-beast dirt) is still too moist for a new desert theme to be used. so now, it's next to my window so it can evaporate. as for the cancerides, she's in a plastic box with a cave and the leftover substrate. surprisingly, a large kritter keeper fit on top almost perfectly, but i still have a heavy ornament on top just in case.
i should have pictures by the time my new USB cable arrives in the mail.
