I decided to man up today and remove my female P. irminia's eggsac from her since it's been almost a month now that she's had it.

Easier said than done...

Nice and fat, when I rolled it in my hand I didn't feel any round eggs...

No wonder!

PARTY!

The gang!

Tall deli cup with the slings in a re-enforced hammock over moist paper towel.

Sweetness - this is one of my favorite species and it's always a pleasure to see more of them coming into the world.

Kindest regards,

Kevin P.

Well in! Good job manning up-how difficult was removing the sac? Was the mother co-operative or, ah, not so lol

congratulations!!! Great pictures, I love the one of mum. She appears to be saying, "what the #$% do you want?!" Do you have a count of the babies yet? Good luck and the best to you all!

I would classify it under "not so easy.."
Not only are they fast but fast even when toting a sac.

I will be posting slings up after they molt in the classifieds or you can PM me with the topic "suntigers" and I'll notify you when they are ready!

looks like she was a very very good mommy and I don't blame her for not wanting to let you steal her pretty babies away. :)

OK I have a question (maybe even a stupid one) but how do you go about opening a sack ? Do they pull apart ? I'm pretty sure you're not going to use anything sharp to open it . By the way , congrats on the babies !!

Thanks everyone.

I gently teased the web apart using two tweezers with sharp tapered points. I pulled apart quite easily even though there were multiple layers. A beautiful little piece of engineering on her behalf.

There was alot of room in the sac so there was plenty of room to avoid hurting the slings as I pulled it apart.

They are the cutest things ever.
