My sons Carolina Wolf, Sweetlegs, laid a marble-sized sac last night! This is what I found when I uncovered the kids this am. Taken with night vision, since the room wasn't very lit yet.

So, how long til I see babies, and then how long after that until they start leaving mom's back. If the weather is warm enough by then, we will most likely let the majority go, and keep just one or two back. I don't relish having to get all those babies out of the foliage in her tank.

Hubby's gonna freak!!

It could take up to a month for the babies to hatch. And, they usually stay on their mom's back for a week or so.

Well, there was an accident yesterday, with her tank being knocked off the self. I put everything back together, and she reattached the sac to her spinerettes. Last night all looked to be fine.

Today, I come home from work to find her chowing down. :( Either she was still stressed, or the sac maintained damage I couldn't see. The only thing I could determine yest was that the water dish must have dumped onto the sac, during the fall, then it sat for who knows how long buried in wet strate. The sucker was drenched!!!!

Anyway, I am being told by a couple different ppl on ATS there is a strong possibility she could lay a second sac. I'd really rather she not, but if she's gonna, I hope she holds off for a while, so it's nice and warm when slings need to be released, and I don't have to mess with housing them for a while first.
