My first sling/juvie is the cutest T I have ever seen and I handle him a lot. "Scooter" is usually eager to pop up on my hand when I open his lid. Last week he molted so naturally I let him be during and after.
I waited a full week after his molt before even thinking of feeding my little G aureostriata. Then I took my smallest cricket, no bigger than his abdomen, and tossed it in. The cricket immediately ran under Scooter's cork bark and I immediately had second thoughts.
Was the cricket too big? Am I feeding him too soon? I couldn't stop worrying over it so I gently lifted up the bark and there was Scooter, cricket in mouth ready to rush out and pop on my hand. Oops! No thanks kiddo, you can do that one on your own! What was so cute is that he looked almost proud of his accomplishment.
