Pretty sure that's a common American House Spider, Archaranea tepidariorum-completely harmless, though sometimes quite messy with their webbing. I've got several of these living around my house in out-of-the-way spots, and I prefer their webs to invading mosquitoes and flies(both very common here in the South, as you'll find out soon enough)anytime.

Well thats two that have been common and harmless. I am starting to get the hang of this :D... I guess I will probably see a variety of species more towards summer tho. Thanks!

Yeah, webbers tend to have the advantage. But a giant wolfer would have been a different story. :p

I caught 2 and am trying to see if they are co habitat spiders.... so far so good. I figure they are fine with each other since you have 100's in your house/basement anyways.

Wait......it ate your jumper! Holy crap! That is just wrong!
Yeah webbers tend to have the advantage.
I know but house spiders eating jumpers ( the lions of the spider world )?! I've seen HUGE jumpers that would've made that house spider dinner. ;P
