Botar, the solfugid continues to surprise me!!

This surprise was certainly a good one. I tossed a cricket in a few minutes ago, and almost immediately he went from resting to attack mode! He jumped on the cricket and started slicing it. The cricket was dead almost immediately and it quickly became a shapeless blob. From what I have heard, it is rare to see them eat, and this is certainly the first time that I have seen mine try to attack. It was very neat to see. Here are some pictures. They are not very clear, but if the camera would come too close, he would stop eating.

Like I said, the pictures are not very clear, but in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, you can see the white blob in his chelicerae, that is the cricket.
