I got my GBB set up in it's permanent home last night - an 8 x 4 by 4 acrylic container with holes drilled with 1/16" bit for air flow. There is an eraser size hole in the lid but I sealed it off on the inside and outside with packing tape.

Now comes the paranoia part - I get up this morning and go to see if the sling has done any webbing and I can't find it. Anywhere. I know it didn't get out because the lid was still on, and it wouldn't have closed the "door" behind himself if he DID get out. There is corkbark in the enclosure and I looked under it and around it, but I can't see him anywhere. I've been worried all morning at school.

Does this species burrow? I'll probably get home and it'll be fine, but I'm worried, despite no evidence of an escape.

It very well may have burrowed. Alot of slings do this regardless of there behaviour as adults.

Jeff's right...lol
The only slings we have that don't burrow are the ones that are supposed to burrow...LMAO.
Check your substrate for suspicious looking holes....;)

How big are the holes? How big is the sling? Did you see any webbing at all in the enclosure?

S/he was hiding under the corkbark - literally under the edge of the bark, not in the little hollow hidey area. So, all is well. The sling has a leg span of about 8 cm and the holes are 1/16". So I know it can't get out the holes. Somehow in my paranoia I was imagining it PUSHING the lid UP, climbing out, then closing the lid perfectly on it's way about town! {D

Yeah, no cetipedes for me. I've heard some horror stories. I'd have to move out if one got loose! LOL
