OK, my most useless thread ever!

Anyone remember that picture of a Cyriocosmus leetzi couple mating on the hand of someone? Always though that was a cool picture...

Was mating some C. elegans tonight (what's new) and just thought "why not?"

I do not usually handle my Ts... unless they are mating! LOL

Anyhow, here are a few pictures... goes to show that nothing disturbs those guys while they are at it, which is pretty different then most of the other T species I have mated so far.

Thanks everyone

They are about 2.5 cm in legspan I would say.

They can normally mate up to about 3 hours or more sometimes, obviously I just kept them for a few minutes in my hands...

I had originally scopped them with a medicine cup to place them on my hand. After the pictures, I actually dropped them:8o and they fell on my boxers (I was seated)... they continued mating there... then I just picked them up in my hands and placed them back in the container, and they kept mating, they might be still at it right now!

Take care

Martin

Hi Martin,

You told me Cyriocosmus are not nervous when mating but I didn't think they where that calm:eek:

are they very productive in terms of offsprings/numbers of eggsack? since they mate that long I'm assuming they can produce a good amount of slings or maybe multiple eggsacks from one mating. :?

Those are awsome pictures Martin:D
If this is successful maybe you could try mating blondi's this way:)
Instead of captive bred you could put hand mated on your list.
hahahaha
