One of my pedes molted the other night. I noticed as I was walking out the door to go to a friends house. Anyway, I had my wife go home to get some beer I had(I was already lit), and when she came back she said it had come out of the old exuviae all but the last two legs. Finally when we got home aroun 3 am I checked in on the pede one last time, and at first I thought Mr. Art Guiness was playing tricks on my eyes but nope, the skin was gone. I talked to a friend about this and he informed me that pedes are notorious for eating thier molts. Why do they do this? Is it to regain some of the nutrients lost during the molting process or do they see it as prey? Very curious.
