I am buying a new S. Polymorpha and the dealer is sending me a free solifugid around a 1/2 inch. I dont know alot about them besides what they look like and how often to feed them. What temp should I keep the inclosure and what type of substrate and humidity am I aiming for?

Not too sure if this is up to par. But it is a start. Them be some crazy looking critters. I always thought about trying one out, but in the long run, well, I thought against it haha.
Hope it all goes well.

Thanks. I dunno what kind it even is. It gets up to about 3.5" he said. I think it will be a fun invert to raise. They are very ugly lol.

thats fine but this fellow is recieving a exotic specimen and as such may want to prolong the life span.
any way to the OP...both sides have been presented to you so now you know
and knowing is half the battle

Yeah, I feed my Scolopendras once a week a medium feeder roach and they LOVE it.:D . I dont know the beast will be around and inch or a 1/2 inch when I get him/her. Im very interested in keeping it around for at least a year or so.. I want it to get full grown and then maybe I will feed up to 3 large crickets a week or something... Just to watch it slay the defenseless critters ;P
