Can you ID this spider?

A pretty blonde gave me this today at work and nervously said she found it on a jacket she was about to put on and she wants to know what it is. It was in a home here in Napa, CA and I've lived here for over 40 years and never saw one like this. It's about .75 to 1" and here are 2 pics, one with flash, one without. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

I think Amaurobiidae.. maybe Callobius sp.

Or possibly Amaurobius -- I'm not sure one tell them apart without looking at the genitalia...
