can you tell me what their lifespan is ? do males live shorter then females and how about breeding those?

I've heard they live about 1,5-3 years.

They make great orbwebs and the web is really POWERFUL.

Breeding is a slight problem, males are very small and are often seen as food. The slings are very very small an numerous, but I've heard they do we'll in captivity.

They feed on anything flying or crickets that fly with help from a hand...:)

I guess mine is a wildcaught female, and that means that she's probably gravid. And that's nice...:)

Your spider looks great, they can live longer if you make them grow slower by giving them less food but they will shed and grow after a certain amount, yours looks like it just molted but if it was wild caught it still might make egg casses. i just released about 50 jumping spiders and im waiting for 2 Nephila egg casses to hatch, they take longer to hatch then smaller spiders.

BTW, the dealer labels it as Nephila maculata
Dunno if thats the correct name or not.

Today is a sad day. My Nephila died of some reson...:( It was doing well, made a big web, ate a few crickets and locusts. And today it's dead.
