Don't think that's a tegenaria...

This is a picture of my bigass tegenaria, possibly atrica (20mm bl, 65mm ls)

Your spider is more probably a kukulcania sp.

Nope I dont think its a kuk. Eyes are wrong, carapace wrong, legs are too bare...

Heres a kuk...

Hmm that really doesn't make me think of Tegenaria at all.
I can only say I don't think that's a Tegenaria, but I can't tell you what it is.

This is what you should expect from a teg - http://bugguide.net/node/view/31444

I haven't seen anything under that genus with that kind of look to it at all.

What kind of a web does it weave?

hi,
I´m sure it is no Zelotes sp. those have a complete different eyepattern.
I would even go 1 step further and say it is NOT the same family as Zelotes sp. (Gnaphosidae)

Interesting ...I knew Pulk and What were playing with Tengellids. Infact What gave me a smaller female with slings. (fairly certain he labeled it as Tengellid sp. ??) Female died before I gave her any real looksy ...still have some slings though.
In one fav hunting area, Ive been coming across smaller versions of this one ..kept a couple and they never molted. So, this giant ..I figure..COULD be different.

Last night was looking for a decent eye pattern shot of a teg. One at bugguide sorta... anyway yep, different pattern then mine.

Well, at least I was darn certain it wasnt a kuk! :D

Pulk, I take back some of that stuff Ive said bout you ...occasionally you prove yourself useful. :D ...;)
