a few days ago i caught a Hogna sp. (probably carolinensis) with an eggsac and i decided to try and keep her...i have her on moist potting soil in one of those low critter keepers and she built a nice little burrow in one corner and settled in quite well...she's been refusing food though and my experience with this species is limited so i was wondering if anyone here might know if it's common for these to refuse food while carrying a sac or if i'm doing something wrong with her setup...

thanks guys:)

None of my wolfs will eat with sacs.

my huge hogna female never ate with a sac, just seemed to stress her out. not saying it doesn't happen, but mine just never seemed to want to eat.

Mine did, and fed well afterwards too. One lost the sac after eating, re-attached it, lost it , then carried it under it and then abandoned it. The slings just climb on her anyways. Another lost it then attached something else and dragged it.
