I found her running across the driveway this afternoon following a rain shower. She's slightly over one centimeter in length, legs included, and is very fast and feisty. Her overall morphology and personality suggest Amerobiidae(Hacklemesh Weavers), but the color is throwing me, since all the specimens of Hacklemesh Weavers I've seen were mostly brown. I've also never found one running across open ground like this spider was. I don't see any spinnerettes, like I'd expect to see if this was a Gnaphosidae Ground Spider, which is the other suspect.

I have found 3 of these spiders in my house in the past couple of months.

They are in the family Corinnidae, the "Ant mimic ground spiders", of the genus Castianeira. Probably species longipalpa. I remember that they were fast as hell.

I have pictures of one of the ones I found in my flickr.

I doubt gnaphosidae because of the lack of visable spinerets, perhaps castianeira spp.
