Here's a link to Peter Clausen's website. I've never bought anything from him myself, but I've corresponded with him several times and he really knows his stuff when it comes to mantids and other insects in captivity.

He's not shipping anything at the moment but hopefully will in the future.

There are are other dealers who offer mantids, but he's the only one in the US I know of who really specializes in them.

Peter is going through a divorce and will not be up and running until next summer or so.
It is best to try and buy ootheca and hatch them out but this is a real pain. I had 22 d.dessecata hatch out and only two made it to 3rd. instar. A large supply of flys are needed. Most dealers will not put up with the mess of raising them and then get a small price for them.

Anyway Peter does not have internet access now.

Hey I forgot.
Try Orin at Mantid Assasins advertizing on the for sale section. Orin is expert at mantids and a good freind of Peter. I would recommend buying his book.
Also a guy named Evan in Texas runs a page called totalmantis. I can't find his website at the moment but I think you can track him down on the mantid forum at kingsnake.com/insect hobbyist.

I presently have spare:
Miomantis paykullii (Egyptain Pygmy Mantis) Excellent beginner's mantis.
Heirodula membranacea (Giant Asian Mantis)
Otomantis sp. (Tanzanian Boxer Mantis) --only two, fourth instar
Parasphendale agrionina (Kenyan Purple & Pink)
Acanthops falcata (Venezuelan Deadleaf Mantis) lopsided trio

Most species I've had for between 2 and 8 generations.

I am interested in trades, certain centipedes.
