I have a brand new story to tell of my new B. Smithi, Red... When I got him (I dont really know if its a he or a she) yesterday I decided to let him get settled into his little critter container, when I realized that this container (complete with water dish, the box he came in, and a little stick thrown in for decor.) is tiny compared to this creature. I feel sorry for him because it looks like he can barely walk around and he always stays in the same corner of the box.
Well this morning I decided to let him out of his cage and boy was that a mistake... as soon as I opened the lid to his cage, Red crawled right on out... At the first I thought this was cute until he decided that he was going to take a little adventure around the room and then under the bed... I would have been fine with that as long as he had been a little slower about it... but NO he just darted right on along and sure enough, each time I tried to coax him out from under the bed... he'd either kick hairs at me or run away again... I finally had to scoop him into a cup and practically dumped him back into his cage.
I feel so bad for him... I bet the only reason he ran like that was because he was cramped up in that container... So I am currently inspecting some of my old aquariums and I'll try to get him moved into one in a few days.
