Well I hadn't even heard of these so I did a little info search and found one for sale so I had to get it.. lol. Well to say the least it rivals my polymorpha as far as handling and temperment. Id have to rank this pretty high for a starter pede. It was only $30 shipped express.. cant beat that. Also a very beautiful pede.Anyone know max size on these guys? Im guessing not over 5 inches as its about 4 now.

Hi,

i have one scolopendra viridis viridis - it's quite rare in europe.
Love it - a totally underrated species!

really cool! Mine just arrived today and it is around 2 inches. I got mine at bugsincyberspace.com for about 15 dollars. I really love the color on this species! This great news that it is a beginner species because it is my very first centipede!

Yours is full size. Wonderful specimen. Unless you have small hands, its actually quite large for its species. If you ever decide to sell it i would be interested in breeding it. I have 3 S. Viridis of the same colorform here at home so its fairly likely i would have a mate for it, no matter the sex.
