hi everyone, this is my first post here,my name is Jerry and i am in the UK, i am keen to learn more about the eresus species, (ladybird spiders) I have had a few in the past but these all turned out to be female. i would love to try and breed and photograph as many different spiders in this family. there is not much on the net and no books that i can find to learn more? can anyone help with maybe links to different species of this genus or does anyone offer them for sale? any way thanks everyone and nice to have found you. Jerry

Hi, welcome to Arachnoboards! You can try to search pdf files, in that format many interesting literatures are available. If I counted right in Europe including the mediterranean region altogether 12 Eresus species and subspieces live. Try to post ad-s that you're looking for Eresus sp, I'm pretty sure you'll get some since their breeding season is Autumn..

Anyone else in the US have these?
I have 3...I had two "broods". These are from the first. The ones I had from the second were all kept different than the first, and all died.
These thrive on dry conditions for me.
