Okay, so today when I was leaving from work, I noticed a small spider on the side of the van and decided to catch it in a empty water bottle. I brought it home and took a few pictures of it, from what I can tell it is all black with orange markings on the end of the abdomen. I dont know much about spiders aside from T's and I was just interested in finding out what this sp. is. Here are a few pics to help with the identifying process.

Phidippus Audax.
It's immature, the markings will become white later on.
Those are quite beautiful pictures..
There are a number of people who have one of those spiders, myself included >.<

yeah shortly after posting I saw a thread with p. audax in it and it turns out that is what I caught...and released. Does this sp. occur throughout all of the U.S.? as the same color, or are their color variants of this sp. It was hilarious when I was taking pics of em, he/she was very fast and to get it to stop i would hit the ground in front of it. Everytime I did this it would give me a miniature threat pose lol. I wish i had video. thanks for your help and the compliment. Ill have to keep my eyes out for more of these, I might try and keep one.
yeah the color varys ,here I have only seen black phases, northerns seem to have more red on them imo, they have a wide range,

It's not necessarily immature. Some adults retain the orange color throughout their lives.
