Here is a picture of the Anisomorpha buprestoides. It is the best one I can get as these little buggers like to spray you. I'll post a pic of the container we have of them. We have about 30 right now but their all breeding. We are getting more about 200 by next week, all breeding. These little guys are pretty cool to watch and easy to care for. They eat leaves mostly Oak, Bramble, Huckleberry, Blackberry, and Rose. The males ride on the females the entire time until the female molts and then she lays her eggs.

The females are quite large about 1 cm and 9 cm in length. The males are considerably smaller only 5 mm wide and 5 cm long. We have to be careful with these little buggers as they spray a low grade acid that can temporarily blind. Their secretion stinks also and can irritate soft tissue. They only spray when they feel threatened. We are drying some now for mounting.
