Hi

2 years go, I bought my first Sicarius species : Sicarius terrosus . I bred them without difficulties.
In spring I got some Sicarius cf. hahnii (WC) .
One of the females died some weeks after arrival ... They are wild caught , WC die sometimes without reason, I thought ... The secound female died today . One female left . I want to know what I´m doing wrong ...
I keep them in Bro-Plast cages ( 19*19*19cm ) . The substrate is sand . They have many vertical and horizontal decoration to climp and to build an eggsacks . I keep them dry , one side warm , the other side at room temperature. I do it in the same way with Sicarius terrosus without problems ( Ok , terrosus is from Chile and hahnii from Namibia , but the habitat is imho equal ) . They are(were) defnitly mated ... I keep her together with a male .

I´ll make some pictures as soon as possible ...

Some ideas ?
I don't want to loose this nice species ...

best regards and a merry christmas !

Hi,

could they be simply just too old? I think the substrate and humidity is perfect, but perhaps the temperature is not. Check this. (http://www.wilddog-safaris.com/namibia_information/images/climate_chart.gif)
