Found a male crawling on my bathroom wall, missing some legs, and having some trouble getting to wherever he was going. So I scooped him up and introduced him to the female I've been keeping for about a year. After about an hour, this:

and now the male has gone to sit in the corner of the KK. I've read that the male will stay near the female's web after breeding, until he dies. I think I'm gonna keep these two together to observe their interaction.

I had a pair living in the corner above my bed that I had been watching, but one day, they disappeared. I'm really fascinated by these guys, and feel really lucky to have been able to witness the mating. I love playing with the babies, too, so I've got my fingers crossed for a viable sack, although its been awhile since she last molted, so I'm not getting my hopes up just yet...

Don't know when she made the sac, just noticed it today. These guys work fast!

Any ideas how long it will be before the sac hatches? Anything I should do? Male is still in there, hanging a few inches away from her. Would I be able to remove the sac after awhile, before it hatches, and move it into a seperate container? I'd like to keep some of the babies, don't want them to find a way out of their enclosure (there's tape over the vents in the lid, sticky side out, but i know how tiny these babies are, and they might be able to squeeze out somewhere).
