Hello,

does anyone here have pictures of Phoneutria fera? Maybe in more positions or variations?

Most pictures shows nigriventer/boliviensis/reidyi/keyserling etc. but no Fera. So if someone got pictures from a real P.fera or other infomaterial/sources about this one please let me know.

THX,

Just a friendly reminder on how to write species names. The genus is always capitalized, but the species name is not. Also, genus and species names are usually in italic font.

So, it'd be Phoneutria fera. An alternative to the italics is to underline genus and species: Phoneutria fera

Familiy names, on the other hand, are capitalized if the full spelling is used, and are written in regular font.

For example, Ctenidae.

If you're using the family name without the "ae" on the end, for example: "this spider is a ctenid," then the family name is not capitalized (unless it begins a sentence).

Hi,

thanks for the link, but the specimen from Stefan turned out to be a reidyi. His thread is available in a german board where he said that its not a fera.

@jsloan

no prob.

The boliviensis in the pictures turned out to be P. Fera.
