Hey all!
I captured a wolf spider back in October. She was SO hungry every day...., and in Dec. I noticed she had made a small burrow and was down a few days...the next time I seen her, she had a new egg sac attached to the underside of the abdomen. I was VERY excited, b/c wolfies are my favorite moms....
Anyway, she was still eating, with the egg sac attached, as I would feed her every couple of days. Then, in early Jan., I noticed her on one side of the cage and her egg sac on the other side, totally abandoned :( WHY? From that day she has not went anywhere near that sac, and will not stand for it to be anywhere near her.
WHY? I am sure it's a lost cause now, and that sac is a goner. I have thought about removing it....but I just don't have the heart to do it...:(
Any ideas???
