Before the topic of substrate comes up again - that is not his enclosure; it is a holding and feeding tank.

Nice photos Phark, as always. Mind if I make some additions to your thread? Then we can keep it going.

The conditions you have that thing in are deplorable! At least give it some dirt or something! Man people like you make our hobby look bad!!!

Just kidding ;P , nice pics, always thought those things looked cool.:)

Yeah sure. Mine has a voracious appetite! How often do you feed yours?

At least 2 crickets a week, mines a vicious girl.

Nice! How big is she? Also, do vinegaroons necessarily need to burrow to moult?

EDIT: After some proper research I am convinced what I have is Thelyphonus sp., instead of Typopeltis crucifer. All T. crucifer specimens I have seen (online, that is) are coloured an intense red or maroon.

Without antennae or whip shes probably 3.5".. 4" is pushin it. Also Idk about the moulting question, I know mine is always burrowing out its hole in the ground lol. She will carry dirt with her front claws to a spot then drop it off. I have seen my L. Para do this also.

Your 'she' is a he.

The photo of the one eating is an adult female. It is either Thelyphonus of Ginosigma. You can tell it is a female and not a Typopeltis because the segments at the end of Leg I are modified.
