RCF molted!

The RCF rosea I picked up the other day molted! I knew it was in pre-molt, but wasn't expecting this so soon! Gorgeous!

Looks male to me, though I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking at. I know what female parts to look for, so I guess if I don't see those, its a boy... I didn't see any hooks, so he's not mature yet, which means I've got lots more time with him.

Pics will come in a few minutes- I need to charge my camera battery a tiny bit so I can get the pics onto the computer.

and this is the best I could get of the molt. Am I right in thinking male? I've been hoping for a female, but have had a feeling this one's a boy since I brought it home...

sexing: I guess it'd depend on how big she/he is... I bought a confirmed by molt B. Smithi as a female @ 2"... she is now almost 4" after 3 molts and is not looking so feminine to me... I'll wait one more molt though... to really look again and be more sure...

i have 2 adult rosea
1 rosea orange
1 rosea red

he looks mature, but I haven't seen any hooks. He's still being shy, though, so I'll have to bring him out to get a better look. He's 4" now, he grew half an inch in that molt, which was pretty cool.

If he's mature, I guess its best to send him off somewhere to breed, which kind of sucks since I just bought him, but I'd like for him to breed, and I'm too nervous to do it myself. Oh well, I've got some time to figure it out...
