Nice man, my only advice would be to try and get rid of the little plastic bur's on the holes you drilled. If a sling rubs to hard against one it might rip or cut a part of their body, and that would be no good. Other than that, nice job on the enclosures. We have a long time ahead of us to see the fasciculata's grow up :P

there are no burs on the inside of the enclosures...maybe one or 2 on the outside...we took care of the insides well tho...
when they get a little bigger i will put them in enclosures with big holes cut out and screen mesh over them..i bought a bunch of these cubes in various sizes in groups of 5 for them to all grow into...

Now we just have to raise them all up and get some US breeding going.

I love your enclosures! I remember those being for sale a LONG time ago when I was a kid as display cases. I've been looking for them recently for the same purpose as the one you've posted. Where did you find them? Or did you just have them laying around?
I suppose if I don't find them mason jars will work just fine, just kind of like the look of them!
I think I have avic fever as well! Thanks for fueling mine.

Great spiders... I am starting to get on an avic kick myself, but I dont have that many.
You can find those plastic cubes at places like Hobby Lobby. I use the larger cubes for terrestrial slings as well.

hopefully they don't grow as slow as my amazonica sp. I can't wait to see them when they get adult size.

man just let me know when new avics come in...
if anyone was wondering i got those cubes from the container store in jersey..but you can order them online here

at the actual store they had all sorts of colors too but clear was obviously the best choice available for what we want to do with them..

Hey all. If u guys are interested in those little containers I found a site called walkwildside.com. The Guys name is Greg Malvino and he has tall and short versions of those little containers. The holes are already drilled and he includes a little plant and a little substrate too. They are nice little containers.

Thanks for the link! I think I'm going to check local craft stores first. It's great to have this link as a back up though!
