Here's a pic of a Wolfie I got last night checking a building during my patrol. The pic does not do justice to it's beauty. The colors were brilliant and the eyes shined. Enjoy.

Very nice, a male wolfie on the prowl. I hope he finds what he's looking for so you can have many, many (many) more.

One thing I noticed about wolf spiders is their eyes glisten when you shine a flashlight on them; like cat eyes. That's how I hunt them at night; picked up four really nice ones, one of which is now sitting on a HUGE eggsac, Friday night. I'll have to get some pictures.
Great pic, thanks for posting it! :)

My camera isn't too great with getting focused close and not over-flashing the whole thing, but here's what I've got:

Very very nice! I love wolf spiders, especially the way they move. We have so many here I don't even bother catching them! Nice egg sac too. what will you do with all the babes?

Let them go. Way too many tiny little mouths to feed.

Yeah, she was. They hatched either overnight or during the day yesterday.

What kind of wolf is that? I keep telling myself I want to go out one night and try to find a big Hogna carolinensis, if we have 'em here that is

I have no idea what species. I could probably look it up, but it's not a big deal to me. :}

LOL HOLY CRAP.
And you have FOUR of them? Woah, I can only handle one at a time. I would be freaking out at school wondering whats going on with them, if they are dying or finding a way out of the container!
Nice pictures!

I had wolf spiders when I was 10 years old (and a black widow when I was just 9!) The bad thing was that just before I went to the park to catch wolf spiders I had read a chapter of a spider book that said spiders would kill each other if put together.
After my mom came home, she was horrified to find 25(!) foam cups on my bedroom floor, individually wrapped in plastic and each with one wolf spider inside. X-D
Not surprisingly, she made me let them go outside. She brought up the memory a few weeks ago when she found my pet jumpers in my room. Said, "Well, it could be worse. Least it's not 25 cups of spiders." ROFL!
