What is everyone's opinion on the best or favorite overall display invert. Please give examples why, such as color, size, willingness to feed, uniqueness, etc.

My favorite is my Damon variegatus (tailess whipscorpion) for the way she moves and hunts, I haven't seen a more unique creature. I like the fact that she actually hunts her prey.
My Lasiodora parahybana (Salmon Pink birdeater) was probably my second favorite because of her size, aggressive feeding, and willingness to hang out in the open.

Thanks,
Mike

Acanthoscurria geniculata put on a good show as well. Their beautiful, contrasting colors, large size, and insane appetite account for this.

well, since this is in the true spiders forum, i'm gonna have to go with my L. bishopi. it always gets ooo's and ahh's from everybody. plus, widows are just sweet anyway... ;)

oh- and the reason why speaks for itself :D

I like the holconia genus because of their large size, fast speed, and timid personality that allows handling without human risk. If handling/venom isn't a factor, there are probably others that are better that will give threat displays when provoked (phoneutria comes to mind, but extra cautions must be taken)

large wolf spiders are always good too. i'm quite partial to the genus Hogna. ;P

Myself, I dont keep alot of inverts, mostly just tarantulas and some feeder roaches.
Id have to say that with good upclose macro pics, most inverts are amazing-looking.
I like the Hickory Horned Devils . . .

Wrap youtube tags around it. Not the whole link, just anything after the equal sign.
So your vid that you posted httpwwyoutube/watch=DT52brviTGI, wrap the tags around the bold text.
Highlight what you want to display, then click the youtube icon above where you are typing.

I think that is what you were asking. :)

Back OT, display invert? Hmmm.... I dunno. Waay to many choices when you say invert.

I enjoy watching all my inverts, although I would vote for my Ctenidae specimens; they are the most agressive ones and would literally take anything I give them, roaches, crickets, moths, spiders, and so on...
I also like my Selenops sp. They are really fun to watch plus they are the fastest specimen I've seen so far.

It depends on what you like i suppose. I think the following have made good display pets in my care-

Tarantulas- G. aueriostriata, A. geniculata, L. parahybana- all make good display T's. Also, my A. metallica is always out in the open, and shes large and beautiful. Shes very slow moving and not easily spooked like most avics so that is a plus.

Scorpions- Communal go for something like Centruroides sp., or Pandinus sp.. I also personally like my hets i think they are a bit more active than Pandinus sp.

Centipedes- S. heros castaneiceps are the best, IMO. I think they burrow slightly less than other species, especially compared to S. subspinipes and other Asians.

True Spiders- Latros or huntsman species hands down.
