well gavin, i hate to say this....but its not mature enough to tell honestly....if it is a male its too small to have the male parts showing...id wait a few more molts before you decide honestly...sorry man.

I have a feeling you're right. :( This spider is the largest among the four I have. Males mature much faster than females, don't they? Anyway, care to tell me what makes you say it's male?

Females have a wider trapezoidal shape between their anterior book lungs, males are more rectangular and narrow. Your spider also seems to have dense "hair" above the furrow, which will continue to become more obvious as he grows.

I agree. There are too many characteristics to ignore that point to it being male.

im sorry.....i dont see how you all can tell...it still looks too immature to even be able to determine. you would be surprized how many times...thing may APPEAR to be a male/female then turns out it isnt what you thought. im usually spot on when i sex a T ventraly and i still cant tell....id either wait for a molt to confirm at this stage...or just keep it as unsexed...also the speed at which a T molts is never an accurate way to determine sex either. ive had females molt alot faster than males at sling stages then they slow down during their juvi stage. thats when the male stated molting more. either way, id till confirm it with a microscope and a molt to make sure.

Thanks for all the replies guys. :) After comparing my two spiders I agree that this particular one is, unfortunately for me, male.
