Hey guys I just woke up and my geometricus female must have layed a huge sack when I was sleeping last night. As this is my first widow sac, do you feed them while they have it, or are they like t's and wont bother with food while they have the sack.

doesn't matter. feed em! the more you feed her the faster she'll pop out another sac.

and remember, widows can go an extremely long time w/out food. not that you necessarily want to test this ;) i like my widows to be fatties :}

Awesome info thanks! I prefer to keep all my spiders fatties as well, laying that sack sure lost her allot of weight, its crazy how big it is compared to her. Im gonna go give her a roach now woot.

yeah, she needs water, either via misting or feeding.

I threw her a small N. cinerea nymph ill be sure to mist her after she eats just in case. I think its pretty amazing how much stress these spiders must be able to take, with being able to lay tons of sacs and all.
