So my wolf spider has been sitting in her freshly filled bottle cap water dish. Like legit sitting on the water. When I peered in she faced me and ran at the wall as if she was defending herself. I'd take pics but you can't really see through the translucent walls and if i open it up i know she'd bolt out. To describe it better she has her legs sprawled out like a relaxed wolfie and is resting her body, both segments, on the water's surface. I've never seen her do this before. Any ideas as to why she is doing this?

maybe for the humidity? when T's hover over their dish, it's b/c they want a little more humidity/water, and i would assume the same general concept applies.

Maybe. I still need to change her substrate to soil hopefully that'll help
