If you saw my last thread I was talking about how my wolf spider was acting odd sitting over her water dish. Well I just checked on her and saw she made a sac! Guess she mated before I got her. Any tips on rearing? I know to let Momma hold onto it, but what about the tank environment? Increase humidity? Change that bark to soil ASAP?

When my Lycos made sacs and it was time for them to hatch, I transferred them to tanks with only tissue paper as substrate. I kept them in there until the babies were off their backs. This made it really easy to care for the slings once I had put their moms back into their original tanks.

I then let the babies feed on each other, until they were of a manageable size and number.

The humidity depends on the species.

And btw, in my opinion, you should make the enclosure as close to nature as possible, so I would change substrate anyway. The substrate shoul be of a material well suited for digging and making burrows. Bark chips isn't really ideal for that.
