I just recieved 4 spiderlings from Tarantula Canada (who are great by the way, very fast and sent me a free sling).
I've never kept these as spiderlings before so I was wondering if anyone had any advice on feeding i.e. how often, and will they accept carrion. Also any tips on transfering these...(it was tricky unpacking them!).
Really excited though, they're very cute. :D

feeding- every couple of days, something small like FF or crix parts.
carrion- almost all widows will take carrion. i often use freshly killed with tiny slings.
transferring? little tiny sticks work for me, also fingers. and you know they aren't anything to worry about until they are much bigger and females, right? just making sure.
they are cute! enjoy them!
also, remember they need a little more humidity than the adults do, they are pretty sensitive.

cheers for that!
I actually put a little square of medical guaze soaked in water in each vial? I read that they can dehydrate fast when young.
I don't even know how many of them (if any) are female yet :? , be a couple weeks still I think? So I wasn't TOO worried, but they're tiny and a couple seem to think they're in the shawshank redemption lol.
I've never seen widows this small though, very cool and pretty.

yeah, venom is not bad until way later ;) and you should be able to tell males from females after about 2 molts.
