First and foremost, hi everyone! (First post. :))
I've always been terrified of spiders and wanted to overcome this irrational fear by researching and possibly purchasing a tarantula. I learned quite a bit about them over a couple of weeks - species, care techniques, vernacular, etc. It didn't take long before I found them more fascinating than scary. Anyway, the tarantula thing isn't going to work out because of living arrangements, but I still felt like handling one would be my everest.
So, I saved one of these guys from our pool (they're always getting in there.) I know it's not one of the two dangerous spiders in our state, so it wasn't [terribly] stupid to handle an unknown species, but I figured I would clarify here - I'm thinking it's some sort of Lycosidae (?)

Sorry for the picture quality, and thanks in advance! :D
