Neutral

I was torn between neutral and negative on this, because this is the best place I've found in the area for crickets. They bag them up for you on demand, have any size you need, they're healthy and live quite a while. Normal price for the area (about a buck a dozen). Their aquariums and rodents are well tended, and also have quality feeder mice.

Now for the bad. Their prices on tarantulas is obscene, bordering on comical. Last week they had three L. parahybanas about 1 to 1 1/2" in size, each selling for -- get this -- $110 each. No, there's not an extra 1 in there. A 1" G. rosea was going for $45. You get the point.

About a year ago, I stopped in there for a couple dozen crickets, stopping by the T section on the way as I always do, just to get a good laugh. I saw two Ts, legs curled under, starved to death (I've never seen an abdomen so small). I asked for the manager and told him if I ever saw that again I was calling animal welfare. They're taking much better care of them now, but I'll certainly never buy one from them.
