I just got my first T last friday and now I want more!!!This seems to happen to everyone.... I wonder if Ts give off pheromones that make you want more?:D

Hey Exo -:clap: Welcome to the vast subculture of Tarantulaphiles. I can empathize - I got my first T back in May, and as far as I was concerned, that was it. It was a choice between a B. Smithi and a G. Aureostriatum, and I went with the Smithi. Then I started checking out the threads on this site, and I found a dealer called Paul Becker - and he happened to have some GAs available, and he was within driving distance, so I thought, well, why not have both? Of course I yielded to that persuasive ratinale, so I picked up my GA from Paul ... okay, let's cut to the chase - as of yesterday, I have 5 Ts (I added a G. Pulchra, and because I just couldn't resist having a potential showpiece T and blue is my favorite color I also got a Versicolor, and then, because I'm such a good customer, Paul gave me a B. Vegans, which I almost declined ... until he showed it to me, and, well, you're spot on about the pheromones) - plus the fact that Paul is a SUPER guy, and I'll have more to say about that in the "vendor review" thread ... -

I can hear Triggerman73, Spiderfield, Kuro and HokiePokie727 laughing - they warned me that this would happen, and I said, "Nawwwww ..."

What variety is your (first of many) T(s) ? ...{D

Mine sits out in the open all the time and only hides under it's piece of bark when it is eating.

i have a GBB, 2 versicolors, and a L. Parahybana right now and by next week thursday i will have added a blue phase A. Seemani, B. Smithi, and a G. Rosea to my collection

Back in...ummm... I Forget...less than a year ago. I got my first T, G. Rosea. It hought to myself, how can people get addicted to T's? All they do is sit there!

Then I started looking at pictures of other people's setups, reading their stories, and then...I was hooked. I'm now at 23 T's, and I know I'm getting more.

I started with 3.. which my husband knew about..

He has an aversion to spiders of all kinds... so he "thought" we would only have those 3... (yeah right)...

Finally (after much debating) he relented and said "just get what you want" (BIG mistake on his part) ..which led to 2 more that he knew about...

then 6 which he hasn't discoverd yet... (whistles innocently)

and 1 more on the way that he knows about...

with 2 more planned that he knows about...

and he STILL has an aversion to spiders...

I have to agree.I am at 20 now and have started collecting about seven months ago and i`m not done yet as there is always another T to add to the list.lol
