New colony

Are 5 Narceus annularis enough to start a colony?

I'm still on my search to buying a native pede and start a colony and I wonder if 5 would be enough?

I suppose it depends on your gender ratios; obviously you need males and females, preferably at least two of each in case one or the other gender is non-reproductive. I started with 1.4 Giant African Millipedes with great success, though I'd have rather had 2:4 in case my male was a dud. Is the vendor willing to sex and send you something like 2:3?

have to say that 2:4 is my favorite combo to date, however i got babies from ivories at about 3:4
