Im thinking of getting a Liphistius murphorum - Red Banded Malaysian Trap Door Spider, but I am new to owning tapdoors can anyone help me out? I mostly own Ts and Scorps, and would like to now how to keep them, mostly humidity, temp and tank size.

dont worry about the cage size, think more depth then big because there going to want to dig a hole couple inches long. the temp should be about room temp and hum i don't think you have to worry about it. I never did. just feed it couple crickets a week. put a small water bowl and that's it. i hope this helps

do you think they could live in a critter cage? I hear they can get to be 5" and I would think they might need more room than that.

Well, I have no idea of what size they become when adult, but I'd give it at least 8-10" of substrate, so it can dig its burrow.
