Welcome to the addiction

I also want to pass on "Welcome to the Pede Club!" Like my fellow Texan said prior to me. It shouldn't take long till you purchase another as they are ADDICTING!!!!! I have a couple 8-9" Alternans, they get large and mine are not as high strung as some of their predicessors. You should check out the Heros family as they are in my estimate "some of the more attractive US species" Heros Heros, Heros Arizonesis, and Heros Castinecips" all beautiful Centipedes. Good luck, and remember their are alot of knowledgable people here on the AB. Questions, just ask!

Hi Lucas339,
It's about time you got Some pedes.I sent a Hardwickei with Joe.So you can
check out the mite eggs in there frass. You have the right equipment to
check this out and you have experience working with mites for this job.
Please let me and the members know if i'm going crazy or is there something
to my claims.I will be sending another Hardwickei to Orin from invertebrate
magazine tomorrow. So I have 2 different people checking out 2 different
pedes. To see if your findings are the same or am I just nuts.

Hi Lucus339,
Some people say the S.Hardwickei are very aggressive. But i'm not 1 of them.
I think thay are 1 of the best looking or maybe even the best looking pede
there is.What I like about them is that there a slow moving pede.Thay wont
surprize you with any bursts of speed.Like many other pedes can.So that
lowers the chance of injury to yourself or the pede.Keep me posted on your
results.Next time you make a post.please make it under the thread-Unusual
Mite Problem.I don't want to hijack your thread.
