Another sunday evening quiz game: Here is a pic of nymphs. The mother left them so I could take the picture. What species ist it?

Small hint: It is an european species...

Hmmm...

S. canidens from Egypt comes to my mind, but Egypt isnt Europe.

Maybe S. cingulata from Portugal?

btw...you are mean...uncolored nymphs are SUPER hard to ID hehe :D

Hi,

interesting quiz.
must be Subfamily Otostigminae, judged by the not rough but smooth tergite structure i would personally exclude Alipes, but thats only a guess.

It could be some things, its only a guess by coloration, but is it Otostigmus aculeatus? Just came into my mind, seeing the very smooth tergites and the yellowish legs.

I dont think its Parotostigmus rex, because that would be too easy :D

Ok, it is no Alipes and it is not O. aculeatus, also P. rex is not correct...

...any other idea?

Hi,

its hard to see on the picture, but can it be that this speciman has only one sparsely hirsute antenna segment?
