I was just curious of how often or easy to tell if your 'pede is getting closer to molt. I have a lil' fella and was just curious. I know they tend to stop eating and get darker an slow, but more on a time frame. If you can help just give me an idea of proportion to the sizes you guys know of molts, per year or something that would be awesome. (oh mine is roughly an inch an a half or smaller)
Thanks ~~Brian

Should be a few times in the first year & 'normally' once a year after. It can be maddening waiting for a molt when you think it's coming- just be patient. The tergites(top of the exoskeleton) should become duller, even milky in appearance.

On another note, your little buddy there is looking a little chunky. Not fat camp chunky, but very husky. Not sure how often you're feeding, but you may want to back off just a tad. It's a purty 'lil sausage, nonetheless...
