I'm not sure whether this is ok, but I'm linking to another member's picture on this site, as I could find no way to respond to the picture itself. If this is a problem, mods let me know, and I will take down the post. That said, does anyone know what areas this particular variety of S.s.subspinipes hails from? It's...amazing.

i have that exact 1, i got mine from an importer awhile back,they "said" it came from malaysia,i'm calling mine a malaysian mahogony(spelling) but to be honest,i'm not really sure,w'these ya never know,mines a really nasty 1 too!{D i know it's scolopendra suspinipies sp. awesome animal:clap:

If this is the colorform sold as "Vanatu" that would kinda make sense. Vanatu is part of the Malaysian archipelago(right?). I've nvever seen that one, though. Usually, they look a lot like "Barbados".

I can't find that forest or Buton Island on Google Earth. Nice looking pede.
