I think I may have some type of mite on my S.s.dehaani babies. It looks they have some sugar on their backs. Anyone know what this or have any suggestions?
Mites are opportunists and therefore have attacked the easiest target. Get rid of them by placing the babies in a dry substrate such as sand. Put water in a very shallow container lid so the babies don't drown. Place bits of wood as cover and don't forget to check them daily. Do not add live feeder insects because they may be spreading the mites, freeze them first. You may want to douse the wood in boiling water to sterilize it. Best of luck!
