POSITIVE EXPERIENCE
I ordered animals twice in the last 6 months from Carolina Specialty Pets. The animals were packed with lots of consideration to the animals' health and shipped in a timely manner. The communication was excellent. I visited their shop in North Carolina in December and was impressed by the variety and health of their animals. I even bought an impressive G.aureostriata and brought her back to Florida with me. We just received our second order from them and the animals were in perfect condition upon arrival. I will continue doing business with these people.
Thank you to: Joe, Diane and "Mouse"!=D

I went to pay a visit Joe at CSP yesterday. He's the first worthwhile dealer of exotic pets that I have ever dealt with personally. Whether he's talking about arachnids or snakes or reptiles... you name it... he knows his stuff. I have been to many many disappointing pet operations, but this one was well above my expectations. I snagged two Parabuthus leiosoma, a small Androctonus bicolor, a Psalmopoeus irminia sling, and one of those terrible looking red trap-door spiders. My best friend even got his upstart into the scorpion keeping hobby, five sexed juevenile Pandinus imperators (all of them are incredibly healthy and well mannered). All of the animals were healthy, well cared for, and very reasonably priced. And the added human factor of having Joe there to personally guide me through the facility made this experience one of the best I've ever had, if not THE best. After this extremely positive exchange, and since his shop is within driving distance of my home, I plan on making CSP my primary source for all of my invertebrate needs in the future.
Thanks again Joe!
Kindest,
Kevin P.

I posted a positive review in the online dealers forum for Carolina Specialty Pets also.. But I wanted to make sure this forum got the news also. Ordering from joe was the first time I ordered any invert over the phone (to receive by mail). Joe was extremely helpful and informative, and kept me completely in the loop for the entire process of the order. It shipped when he said it would, arrived when he said it would and was packed beautifully. The Parabuthus Trans I ordered arrived in perfect condition.
I, too, will be calling back as soon as I'm ready to order my next scorp!
Thanks again, Joe!

I found the CSP website a few months ago while planning my vacation to WNC. I flew into Charlotte and the trip from there led almost directly by Joe's shop so I stopped in. I was impressed to say the least. I returned a few times that week and picked up a Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens and a Chilobrachys fimbriatus. The day before my flight, I returned again and bought a Poecilotheria regalis which Joe quite casually relocated into a smaller vial so that I could get through airport security.

Apparently Joe is doing an educational type thing now and so i think CSP is discontinued or something, when my friends were out there they said he still had alot of stuff but were told more was in another warehouse. I think the place was along Mills Gap rd somewhere.
