what type of horned frog is this

It's a Ceratophrys cranwelli. Yours is captive-bred of course, seeing that it's an albino.

I think the species is from Argentina and Paraguay.

Very cool pet- I have one too, but not albino. They originate in South America, mainly Argentina as Obelisk mentioned. Mine loves to borrow, so without the right set up, it makes for a great pet tank :D

i've seen lots of cranwelli and none of them have the lined markings of this albino, which is why i was asking..

it does look more similar to the ornates i've seen which do come from different areas.
but there appear to be both cranwelli and ornuta albinos and a few albinism strains.
most of them are just deleted browns that i see.

It is just a pretty Cranwellis. It is possible that it could be mixed with ornate but i doubt it. But there are not Albino Ornates so it isn't that.
