Now that I've been bitten by the bug (pun intended) I've been thinking of getting an A. Versicolor sling. The pictures TheEternal posted were gorgeous! I know nothing about their care. Does anyone have any advice or links to care sheets? Thanks,
:?

I've read that ventilation is a more significant factor with these, especially with sling/sub-adult sized specimens. Based on keepers reports on various boards , versi slings have a higher mortality rate than the norm so its not uncommon for them to up and die for no fault of the keeper other than bad luck. This is the only Avicularia species that I really want due to the color of the carapace.

I have a 1.25" Versicolor and she/he is great They are a flighty when they are slings but i hear some tend to be more less flighty when they get older. Also the ventalation is more important than humdity to this spider anyways and it was a pretty good appetite and they are fast growers as well.
